Loving you is quiet sunsets overlooking the sea. The sea gently hitting the shore whispering of the passionate night to come. The sky reaching to meet the ocean until one gets lost in the other, never quite knowing where one begins and the other ends. The sky painted with different hues of a fire that only lovers know.
As moves time, so do we to the rhythm of our heartbeats. The sun sets. The waves move with the rising of the moon. They keep a steady tempo. A tempo only lovers know. A hushed yearning. The waves they ride the momentum. Slowly picking up as the night progresses. Where once was the quiet sunset, now storm clouds begin rolling in slowly covering the moonlight. The heavens they open up. As the night moves towards daylight, the sky wants to release and release, until it could give no more. The ocean it welcomes the thunderous torrential downpour as though it were not impregnated in a depth all its own.
The night, it slowly begins to wind down. The rain it becomes a merciful drizzle. We echo each others breaths and slowly, gently, there rises a mist and the moon once again shines over the beauty that we beheld. Together we held on to one another as the moon came down and the view in front of us became lightened with the rising sun.
Insane to think that just moments before the heavens themselves wanted to match the war our bodies were ravaging on each other…breath for breath. Now as the love we made simmered down, so did the moon. In front of us, the sun was blushing awake as though to match our flushed faces. Together with the nature that surrounded us, we came alive once more and the cycle began again.
